Pushing Cows

For about 30 years my father has been helping the Asay family move their cows and this September Zachary, Adam, and I were able to go with him and my niece Courtney. We loaded up the horses and 4-wheeler and headed to Lovell to help. Zachary rode on Monster (Adam's horse, but Zac claims he is his) with dad helping push the cows and calves to the corral, so they could be seperated. The calves where then trucked out on BIG TRUCKS! Zachary also got to ride the 4-wheeler with Papa to get even more cows. As he and Papa were waiting for us, on horses, to catch up to them; they saw a BIG BLACK BEAR in the draw below them. The bear just stood up, smelled and ran the other way. Zachary was so excited he saw his 1st bear. We also were able to enjoy the Asay beef with yummy hamburgers over an open fire.
